FREE Energy Assessment for SME’s
Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) have introduced a programme to help businesses increase their energy efficiency by offering free Energy Assessments for SME’s.
The assessment includes analysis of current energy use, opportunities for savings and advice on appropriate energy management and monitoring.
Firms register with SEI and are matched with an Energy Advisor. The Energy Advisor will contact them and talk through their issues first by phone and then, if appropriate, conduct an on-site assessment of opportunities for savings. Following the on site assessment the Energy advisor issues a report to the firm recommending the best actions for the firm. The Energy advisor then stays in touch for a period of three months in order to provide a mentoring service by way of technical support and advice.
This service is totally free! SEI does not charge for this service. However, the client must demonstrate some commitment towards improving their energy efficiency. The client is required to put in the time to provide information, talk to the expert and consider the recommendations over the course of the mentoring period.
A panel of Qualified Energy Advisors has been appointed by the SEI to deliver the program on their behalf.
JAMES CONROY Certified Energy Manager and Senior Consultant with Capstone Energy Management is on that panel.
